Дитрих Марлен (1901-1992), кинозвезда, в 1930 г. сыграла главную роль в фильме "Голубой ангел", который принёс ей широкую известность и определил её имидж блондинки-вамп. В 1930 г. по приглашению режиссёра Й. Штернберга уехала работать в США, позже приняла американское гражданство. В годы Второй мировой войны отвергла предложение Гитлера вернуться в Германию, выступила с резким осуждением фашизма. Снималась в кино до 1978 г. у крупнейших режиссёров своего времени, фильмы "Марокко", "Шанхайский экспресс", "Испанская танцовщица" (в американском варианте под названием "Дьявол – это женщина"), "Нюрнбергский процесс". С конца 1950-х гг. приобрела мировую известность как певица, жила в Париже.
